What do I have besides all of these wires and that pretty red copper? Whats behind that tower on the rear of the screen. Im a newbie and I have never broken down a tv this old.

There are lots of threads on breaking down tv's and you should read a lot of the old threads. There can and often is a dangerous charge contained in tv's. Learn how to discharge them.
Start with the sticky threads at the top of the different sections. Read a lot of the dismanteling, breaking down..... section.
I am not certan but the red copper you refered to in the photo could be red colored Aluminum wire. I don't think it is but cut it and look at the end if its silver in color its most likely Aluminum(Al). Make sure you have a magnet with you. You have far to go in the non-ferous metal scraping part of the busines but its just fun tearing things apart. Mike.
