Timing is important. There won't be that much environmental damage if the ground is still frozen. I would get right on it though because we're going to have an early spring this year. The job could turn into a mud mire.
Agree with Matt .... jenny,sawzall,atv, and a trailer. If there's still a couple of feet of snow left make some runs back and forth to pack it down to make snow pack. With a bit of luck it might even turn into an ice pack on a cold night. Maybe rig up a sled out of an old 275 gallon fuel oil drum cut lengthwise ?
Cut down a few trees and build a wood bridge across any streams that are in the way ?
I usually just pick up my O2 tanks at the depot nearby. I would imagine the tank lease is with Matheson Tri-Gas ? They've got a few locations. Used to be one somewhere in Bangor area where they refill the tanks and dispatch the delivery trucks ?
Just possible ideas.
