Three to five pounds of silver contacts .... nice !
I think i would ask around locally if you're somewhere around the city. Maybe check out the privately owned jewelry stores and pawn shops. Coin shops are good too. Somebody ought to be able to hook you up with a buyer.
Try googling scrap silver buyers.
There's apt to be a bit of haggling over the value. They'll question the purity and argue that it needs further processing. They're probably right. It's an additional cost so you probably shouldn't expect spot pricing.
You might check out Kitco.com It's just an opinion, but i think they're reputable. Big enough that they wouldn't risk tarnishing their reputation by ripping off the customer.
Hope this helps.
Later edited to add: I was thinking ... the silver contacts might be industrial silver -or- silver alloyed with other metals. I don't have a link but you might search the gold refining forum to get a better idea of what you've got to sell. It's been said that they aren't all that helpful to newcomers that are there for just one purpose so you might have to dig through the weeds and find a thread that deals with the subject on your own.
