Because its a labour intensive job, its creating thousands of jobs over there and thats a big help for them and then they pay taxes too.
So its a win-win-win-win situation . (I like those situations...)
My closest scrapmetal buyer (who I don't sell metal too. haha.) Does this, he sends out a container full of vehicles, engines and such every couple of days.
He has all the prices for every sort of engine depending on its condition. And he knows every sort of part just by looking at it, if its a '4K' or a 'L28' etc.
They even take seized up engines and rebuild them.

But yeah, by buying engine heads by the container load, they can sell the good ones on and remelt the bad ones into new heads.
    Agreed

The market looks good, lots of demand there and due to the volatility in the region, not many big fishes are entering making it easier for small fishes like us. I just need to find a good supplier from here in North America. I have the order, just need a reliable supplier who can deliver. Do you have any companies in mind in North America, preferably Canada?

    Thanks

Hi. Your best bet would be salvage yards, but they will not guarantee clean. You may need to get some cheap labor or at least someone to inspect then. the 380 cast market is terrible right now. I am buying clean cast (not just motor blocks) for the same price as sheet and getting a similar price. This sounds like a lot of work for not a lot of return.

The problem is my record is really big, about 250 tons. Are there big companies that deal with that level of scrap?

    Thanks
