    Almost forgot about this thread. I found out my yard buys the stuff for .20/lb. But, if that new section on smelting goes up, I might start hoarding it to make stuff at my dad's place in the fire pit.

    I wouldn't even bother trying to smelt aluminum dust. As Sawmilleng stated, most of it will just vaporized and after the burn loss there won't be much of anything left. If your looking for $$ for it, just sell it as is.

    It's not really dust, a lot of it is "turnings" I guess you would call it. And I didn't mean to make ingots, I'm thinking of making little statues and small items out of castings, so I won't really care how pure it is. Plus I get it for free and it's not really that much $$ at .20/lb.
