Focker - I have done it but here's some things to think about: BEFORE you bid ask about property owner conditions for removal or demo- some don't want you dismantling onsite and others could care less. Very important if you're bidding on a 20T untowable piece.
IF owner allows onsite cutting most demand "additional insured" status from your insurance and proof of workers comp coverage.
Some areas have demo companies that come recommened by a yard. They have been able to ballpark cost for me from looking at a pic with dimensions and general location. Again, this is another cost you want to get in hand before winning bid.
