After a lot of searching swIm found a website thats selling capacitor oil & gives it another name of Phenyl Ethylbenzene Ethane. Not uncommon in chemistry, ie dihydrogenmonooxide is water....
1-phenyl-ethyl-benzene | CAS No 612-00-0 | Synthesis and Physical Properties
1,1-DIPHENYLETHANE is the same as 1-phenyl-ethyl-benzene.
Just a little more info, but I still can't find a use for it, except maybe making 4-ethoxy-3-hydroxybenzaldehyde (isobourbonal) from it.

I think its similar to Ethylvanillin, 'cept I don't know that much about predictive organic chemistry.....
