    The fittings I have are close to 30 years old. They cut easily with a pair of diagonal cut pliers. But they look silver inside or when i scrape them. They look like the ones in the bottom pic of the second post but are brass colored on the outside
    Like my old radio supplies that I stored away when I closed my store, check them connectors for any corrosion even if their sealed. Probably better off Ebaying them if there's none.

    Watch for certain satellite cables with ends that look like this, the center pin is gold plated.
