    This thread blows my mind the yard I use pays only .06 lb for transformers!. Makes me wanna just throw them in with light iron but I know I should't do that.

    If it's same price as shred why not? Let them dig it out ; ) Might consider saving up for a trip to another yard

    Then maybe you should break them down for the copper and get paid out for #2 copper wire, then put the rest in with light iron.
