I use kitco.com to find the live spot prices. Do this check the price on kitco then call your yard and find the difference. For example say cu is 4.00 a lb on kitco, call your yard and if they tell you they pay 3.00 a lb. Then take 3 divided by 4 = .75 so the yard would usually pay around 75% of the live spot price. This way you don't always have to call to find the price it's very helpful if you scrap many different kinds of metal.
