That is more than scrap value. I can still fill the old style tanks because I use them with the cutting torch. I usually get them for free, but will pay up to $ 1.00 each for them. You got a good deal. To hedge my bet, I had the adapters set up on my large propane tank (1,000 gallon) to allow me to fill them when legislation finally outlaws them. Propane in bulk is much cheaper than filling individual tanks. It is hard to stay ahead of the politicians and safety police.
