    @steelmill I actually think it's gonna be 2017 before it goes up again. @taterjuice some people act like they have never seen prices this low. Most people on this forum weren't scrapping in the 80-90's and remember prices like this. Knowledge is power and those who have it will survive.

    Back '94-'95 when I was still in high school steel was $20/ton. But gas was only 95 cents/gallon, unlike today.

    Even with the cheaper gas and lower cost of living we still waited until we had enough to make my buddys 3/4 ton pickup squat before we took it in.

    @ PistoneScrapProcessing Keep in mind everything is twice as expensive as it was in the 80's. Yeah I talked to her yesterday about economics and she was saying it would be something more like late 2016, she just keeps track of things as a hobby now, since she's retired.

    So far as selling metal goes, it's just collecting in piles at my yard and non-ferrous is sitting in my warehouse. It's a sad state of affairs when the only reason I might sell anything is to de-clutter a bit. I HOPE it doesn't last until 2017.
