    Here the other day I received this from Lewis Salvage;
    appliances - $185. ton
    #2 insulated copper - 1.00 lb.
    alum. old sheet - .50 lb
    alum extruded - .65 lb
    elec. motors - .25 lb
    clean #2 copper - 2.55 lb
    Yellow brass - 1.95 lb

    I have to go back in a make a point with management as they paid me old sheet price for
    the extruded heat sinks, telling me that their not extruded because they don't have "drag marks".
    I tried to explain they won't have those marks because they have to set flush on the cpu and cannot have gaps. I'm going to print some info off about them and go visit mgmt.

    Another case of trying to get over on me.

    I have had issues with yards not wanting to call heatsinks extruded as well. Its almost like they refuse to consider the actual meaning of the word. If aluminum isn't cast, isn't sheet bent into a shape, its probably extruded. Anyone who knows what extrusion is can identify a piece of extruded metal. It grinds my gears, because heatsinks are high quality aluminum and are very clean, yet yards want to pull that kind of BS.

    There is nothing much more rewarding to me than pulling a nice fat EXTRUDED aluminum heatsink from a mini-fridge, Computer or TV board.. I've snagged 2 of those Haier Mini-Fridges in the past couple months and they have a SICK Heatsink in them.
    I'm so into scrapping.. When my Steel Toe Boots Wear out, I cut the Steel out of them and recycle the Toe!
