There are other yards that pay +/- on things but are just not worth the time and fuel. What I am getting the .15 for, is the byproducts of escrap. small fans, motors, transformers. A few of the yards will not even take the PC fans. So, for this region, and the convenience of the 2 yards I use from me, I am OK with the pricing. AND...they do not allow walk ins, nor, are there mud holes to drive through. All clean concrete!! THAT... has added value to me ;-)

Where do you go, BroJer? I use the Cohen Brothers in Hamilton. Prices similar to yours, except... shred has been hanging tough at .075 for quite a while. I'd love .10.

I wish they had concrete, too. Saturday morning was an ankle-deep mud soup. Also, I've gotten very good at plugging my tires...

I use River Metal on State St. Would be a bit of a drive for you. I got 2200lbs of old wax and laser printers, out by you, a few weeks ago. (Pisgah) It was a referral from the yard manager at State St. Was well worth the trips and they are stacking more for another PU soon.

I have never had a flat, the only walk ins they allow are with bags of cans, do not have to wait in line while tweakers are sorting stuff...

If you get a load that may be worth the extra fuel, they are about 2 minutes off I75, so it is an easy drive. I live 10min from there. Will buy ya coffee ;-)

Its also nice to go to the same place and build a relationship with the employees because they end up hooking you up in the long run.
