What type of metal is this??

So I came across this little piece of metal today. For some reason it says that I am not allowed to post links yet, so I will just have to describe it to you as best I can.

The exterior of the metal is dull grey I color. It is non magnetic. The metal is rather brittle, and when broken it reveals a bright, sparkling, silver interior with a grainy texture. It reminds me a lot of what ferrite looks like when broken except that this metal is not magnetic. Any ideas as to what this could be? Thanks in advance!

Is it heavy like brass or light like aluminum?

You can post a pic using a link. if you have photobucket or Instagram just put the pic there and copy the link into a post.

With as much patients as I can muster, where did you find that? Did you try spark testing it?

Looks to me to be a piece of diecast, or if it's real heavy then pot metal??

Thanks Hobo Finds, now I have Sammy Haggar and that animated movie on my mind!!

Sorry for the hijack! If its heavier, my vote would be die-cast (mostly zinc). Its 40 cents a pound around here...

I've seen magnesium metal look like that yet he says it's heavy
brittle cast AL but the weight Would drift to a Zinc alloy cast
    particular pot metal's
