Been with these guys since 2012........Checked the website was even able to access my first shipment 60LBS of cell phones I had just lucked up on from a local scrap yard

Do you require your "printed circuit boards" and "high value printed circuit boards" be sorted prior to shipment? I noticed some say "paid on sort". Is that implying I could send a load and it is sorted/weighted upon arrival? Or do prefer them pre-sorted and just do a quick look over sort to make sure nothing is out of place/incorrect in the senders sorting?

Just asking because I have a good bit of motherboards but have not sorted them out myself into the categories you have yet (I basically have 2 piles, laptop and not laptop).

My 9-5 job was on a shutdown over this past New Year holiday and these guys fit me in for a drop off. We drove 5 hours with 2400 lbs and CFCS made every mile worth it.

I had a mix bag of everything from low quality brown boards, complete PSU, gold finger RAM, high telcom, cell phones, laptops, and over 200 hard drives. Almost everything on his price list and some things that weren’t !

The crew jumped in and made short work of my load in an impressive amount of time and I left with a check in my hand that was way better than I expected. Thank you for everything. You guys made my Year.

I don't wanna answer for Mario but the answer is most likely this..........Some sorting is preferred especially on higher priced item (IE: RAM/HD BOARDS/CPU ETC)......You also want to sort to the best of your ability the rest of your boards........Obviously separate Brown from Green ETC ETC........I tend to lump similar boards together but they are the experts on grading........To be honest I don't know the difference between a board that is valued at $4.00/lb and one that is valued at $4.50/LB.......I assume that it has to do with chip density among other things..........Usually things with this company work out in my favor either way..........I feel like this company would be more likely to upgrade a board to a higher value than to downgrade it.......Just try to make a basic inventory of what you have and send it to their email at info@CashForComputerScrap.com Give them time to answer and understand they are humans on the other end dealing with 1000's of pounds of scrap material

I signed up for your site and created a packing slip, however since creating the packing slip, I have some more items I would like to send along as-well. It there a way to either:

* Cancel the current slip so I can make a new one with the updated categories?
* Update the current slip?

Or, can I just create another packing slip, with the additional categories, and put 2 packing slips in the same box? What do you prefer/recommend?

FYI I am adding only (cell and harddrive boards)

Hello! Mikeinrecovery had a great explanation! Everything is technically paid on sort... you can put in the box and call it whatever you want but at the end of the day is done by our grading. For example, you call it hard drives and it is motherboards, well, we are paying motherboard pricing.

Regarding your motherboards, just ensure excess steel and aluminum are off as well as the battery. We can take it from there! Just don't put memory or cpus in-between motherboard layers... remember we have to remove the material from the box and the easier we can identify and locate things the less likelihood of any error(s).

Email us at info@Cashforcomputerscrap.com Provide the lot ID number and the request to adjust the weight for you. Please confirm contents of shipping prior to shipping... for example:
10 lbs of motherboards
5 lbs of fingerboards
etc.

We will want to ensure no low grade product ships such as hard drives incomplete.(I did note your comment of what you are shipping but one of my folks will likely ask)

Sounds good this is what I expected and obviously wouldnt expect to have you take my weights at my word. I will sort everything and separate to the best of my knowledge prior to when I send a larger board shipment soon, hopefully on a pallet.

This first shipment is just going to be as much small stuff as I can fit into a large fla-trate box. I will sort each individual thing and have them separated somehow inside the container (I have used free post office large envelope mailers to keep stuff separate before in a box).

I will send an email to that email with lot number and the finalized itinerary/weights/items and wait to get a reply back from you prior to sending.

Hello, one other question unrelated to the current pending shipment I have....

$0.40 Mixed Computer Wire

Which wires does this include? Im assuming VGA, hdmi, sata, parrallel/serial cables, etc, but what about AV/RCA cords, USB cord, ribbon wire withOUT ends, 3.5mm cords?

Just want to make my life easier by starting to sort now, so its easier to ship when the time comes.

First time seller. I used to have a computer repair shop so I have laptops in various states of disassembly.

1)What is considered a complete laptop? Fully assembled, if nonworking, with Motherboard and intact LCD screen I assume?
2)What about if the LCD is cracked?
3)Do I need to include a junk stick of memory to consider it complete?
4)Do I need to include a broken hard drive with caddy to consider it complete?
5)Is it preferred I include the battery pack with it?
6)If I ship the battery pack, do I have to process it further? Do I ship it attached or detached from the laptop?

Ribbon wire is.... it is the plastic flex type cable out of a printer that is not. I can try to locate one and upload a photo? It has been a long time since we have seen them to be honest.

I think I know what you mean. The tiny, paper thin "wire" that is almost like a film is not acceptable.... Ive seen them in printers for sure.

When I think of "ribbon wire" I think of like IDE wire like

It is flat and thin like a ribbon. I cut the ends off and keep them in 1 box on these, then put the cable/wire part into a seperate box, so that i have a ton of. The first stuff I dont have any of which is fine since it weighs nothing anyways

Not that Ewasted needs any more people vouching for him as he is well known on here... but just wanted to add to the positive reviews with my first experience selling to him.

Everything was processed quickly, and I got even more money than I had calculated out before sending. On his website, there is an itemized list of all your categories/weight so you know exactly what everything got split up into. Overall, very easy and painless process. I will sell to him again in the future for sure.

Hello E-Wasted, I almost have my large load ready to send to you. Just have to finish sorting a load I got today of a few hundred lbs of electronics.

Just one questions, do you have a price/category for

lowgrade brown boards
midgrade green boards (like out of alarm clocks, washers, etc)
high grade non-motherboard green boards (like from routers, cable boxes, peripheral boards, etc)
backplane boards (like that are in the back of a server that all drive plug into or all blades plug into, etc)

Pleas let me know if you can provide any info on these types of boards, if you accept them, current prices etc.... I have at least 100+lbs of each of those categories.
