I find the paycheck for power supplies is better if I don't ship the steel box.

Huh. And this is where ''assuming'' something comes into play. If I remove the steel box from mine and sell them to my yard they downgrade it to computer board which they only pay 10 cents a lb for. I was like, are you serious?????
this is why I never sent any to EWasted, I didn't want to pay for the steel weight and it was never specified that you could remove it.
Of course, I never asked either! (assuming) came back to bite me!
I figure that box is in the "excess steel" category; just like the tower cabinet it was connected to. Nobody I know of is getting big pockets full of money from power supplies a few yards will pay same as electric motors, even without the wire. I don't have the yard option at all around here, they only want to pay steel for the whole thing, that is why I clean it up so it packs tight and heavy.Mario is a great guy to work with and he answers stupid questions too!
