Any idea how long it takes to get a password confirmation email? It's been about an hour and a half. I went thorough step 1 on the home page and then it states an email will arrive shortly (something along those lines). Not in my spam folder either. Thoughts??

He is referring to the automatic generated email once you register on the site. I sent him a message that his email server is bouncing our emails back to our server.

Just a quick note. As always I keep getting great service from Ewasted. I am shipping on an almost weekly basis these days and everything is great as usual. And I have a bunch of shipments ahead. It is getting crazy around here. Thanks to a great buyer and a great forum member.

The cell phone boards are listed on his price list on the first page, $11.75. BTW the updated prices are always on the front page for ewasted.

By floppy drives I assume you are referring to the old 3.5" floppy drives. If so the boards are brown on one side and are considered low grade. I break off the connectors and toss them in with the other connectors with gold plated pins.

If by floppy drives you are in fact referring to cd/dvd drives then those are also in his price list and are $4.05/lb. I hope this answers your questions, Mike.

My local board buyer has flaked out and his prices were too low anyway. So i will be getting a big load together to ship out, the wifes been getting on me about my stockpile in the garage, as its starting to get cold again and she wants to use it again.

Yea i wasnt sure about the floppy drives. Ive jus been breaking the gold connector off with pliers, removing the plastic off the front and tossing them in the shred pile. My local yard says he will anything that looks like metal. He wont say directly that he will take electronics obviously. So i am satisfied with that answer. The cd rom drives ive been getting out the boards and sellig the casing as shred then the plastic guts with the motors ivd just been tossing in the trash, to much work to take it apart for 2 tiny motors.

Grab those motors with a bigger pair of channel locks and give a twisting jerk and they'll usually pop right off, those are small screws there holding the motors.

We took several pictures this weekend. We will get those taken care of this week. Excess metals - the Battery, Steel plate on the rear of CPU (sometimes plastic) and the heat sinks.

I wish I had read the first page more carefully, I just finished today taking all the steel brackets off my many many fingercards, even though it clearly says too on the first page.

On a side note, when using the website to request a freight quote does it show us somewhere once we submit for one that it is currently in the process?
Also, if we want to drop-off our material at your facility should we contact you directly to set that up or use the info@cashforcomputerscrap.com route, or other?

    Thanks

    Hi Blue,
A human needs to do the quote so typically it is done within a few hours of receipt M-F between 8am and 430 pm.

Contact the general mail box to schedule an appointment. Thanks!

    Thanks for the quick response,

For some reason I thought it said somewhere on the website that I had submitted for a freight quote and then when I looked later I didn't see it, so I was wondering whether or not one had gone through is all. Thanks for the information.

Have not seen on your price list, or in this thread, whether you buy the platters out of hard drives. If you do, what is the pay out? Thanks!
