What does the -30 taped terminal fee mean? Does that mean if you don't tape the terminal you get the fee?
If your battery ends aren't taped, they will subtract .30 per pound for batteries.
I've asked this question via PM and email. I've also searched to no avail.
I have about a gaylord box of motherboards to ship in, but they are various grades. How should I separate them? Do I need a divider between the P4+ and P3-? Or just all together and you guys sort them? If I need to separate them, but don't, how much is the sorting fee?
Obviously I can throw my RAM in a separate box on the top and I will separate the processors out by type in smaller containers.
Thanks
Thanks for the #1384 post note. I should have clarified more that I know how to grade them, just need to know how to separate them in a gaylord box the best way for ewasted. I've sent in separate 70lb boxes before - which is much easier to just wait until you have a full box. It would take a long time for me to get one gaylord of this and one gaylord of that.
Use news paper or some plastic garbage bags as a separator.Quote:

what do you consider p4 and p3. some businesses are different when it comes to grading. Ive been told that p3s are 1 3/4 inch or bigger socket. is that what you go by
cardboard - yes, certainly
but I'm not asking about what material to use to separate - I'm asking if it is necessary, if so what the fee would be to not separate, and any other things that I can do to make it easier for Mario when I send it in.
It doesn't sound like this is a common enough question to be well known?
If sending in a gaylord, if necessary you can mix the motherboards and we will sort them free of charge. Please keep out fingercards and other smaller items that maybe in the mix. Perhaps put them in a box at the top of the gaylord. Make sure those are presorted.
No fee if sorted in that manner via pallet. Let me know if this helps.
Thanks, that is exactly what I was looking for.
If via pallet, motherboards can be mixed, but everything else separate.
I can do that and it will make collecting things on my end much easier. I appreciate the great service you guys provide.
I have a question about IC CHIPS , I have some low grade boards and other boards that are not worth to send due to the shipping charges, I already went to the scrapyard and they paid me 20 cents/lb, ok so Now I have another batch and was wondering if its better to remove the black chips and send them to cashforcomputerscrap since they pay $4~/LB. If so are the following chips accepted? even if I just pull em off the boards? because there are some flat ones and other ones that are bigger. please see pics. THANKS

AS usual Sent boxes......Got Check........Cashed Check........No worries here like clockwork these guys are top notch...........Questions answered in a timely manner even though I know they are busy they do more than most buyers even attempt to do.........Ewasted logs into the Forum daily and is one of the most active buyers and supporters of this forum.........Just sent more material today and can't wait for the results............THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!
I just completed my first transaction with Ewasted and it was great. I got more money than I was expecting and the whole process was smooth. The total time from package pickup to check received was 2 weeks. Once they received the package they processed it in 2 business days and had I chosen the paypal option their handling time would have been 3 business days. You can't ask for anything better. I can't wait to get another load to send them.
Ouch, price drop as gold went down again... just going to keep on filling up the ewaste box till prices go back up!
Last time I shipped I used their prepaid label and it was about $18 for 42 pounds. That is less than .50 a pound.
If you are shipping things worth more than .50 a pound, you should make out.
I just don't see prices going up any time soon. We have seen 3 straight drops in prices in the last few months.
My goal is gather, ship, get paid, repeat.
Good luck.
Do you only buy lith ion laptop batteries, or lith ion in general? I ask about the lithium ion batteries in a portable oxygen concentrator. They are 14.4 volt I believe and weight is around 2 pounds per battery. It would be the batteries from the Respironics simply go and ever go models if you need any more information.
I am sure they are only doing what they have to do to keep the doors open due to the current price of PM but OUCH.. Good luck all.
I'm looking on the bright side. It gives me time to stock and organize all of my eWaste without being in a mad rush to get everything broken down. I'm still in the process of moving into my new apartment (long story...well, not really) so a little break is welcome right now.
does anyone know if CFCS was closed today couldn't get in touch with anyone regarding pre-paid labels
Hello
Had a power outage all day yesterday. Spent the day working between the government and big electric to try to get it remedied... I was advised we would get power back today, no ETD was provided to me.
Sorry for the late notice, I had false hope of power returning yesterday.
So, I have sent boxes via FedEx several times, and dropped off a load in person once. Always a great experience and usually a bigger payday than I was expecting. If they are running behind, Mario works long hours to catch up. I have gotten emails responding to questions at all hours of the night, and had boxes processed into the early evening.
Last week was My first pallet shipment. I was kind of nervous and excited, like when your kid switches from preschool to regular school. You have done it before, but this is different. I see that he has power troubles last week, so I figure instead of lightning speed, it will be regular speed lol. Well, to make a short story long, I get at email at 5:54pm telling me my 750lb shipment has been processed, and not only was it worth more than I thought, it was worth more than I hoped.
I'll tell ya, i'm so glad I found SMF. I've learned so much from everyone here, and being an escrapper, i'm especially thankful to them for helping me to connect with a wonderful company like CFCS. Honest, efficient and professional every time. They've enriched my life-literally! LOL I recommend them to everyone!
I highly recommend this company!! The transaction was great and the payment was fast! Mario worked with me and I look forward to using them again! Being R2 certified shows commitment to escrap industry and the environment!
Another shipment another check!!!....No worries here gathering more to send ASAP....THANKS
Can't go wrong with Mario and his crew at CFCS. It is an honor and a privilege just to be able to sell my material to such a great company. Not one complaint comes to mind.
Thanks again and Happy Holidays!
Can you tell me how much you pay for those "fan boxes"- the boxes bolted into the corner of a PC that has wiring harnesses that feed the CD, DVD and Hard drives?
I've got about 40 lbs of them i'm getting ready to ship to you.
Thanks!
amen to that!!
If you're talking at the large metal box with the wires coming out that powers the computer (has a fan inside it, or occasionally bolted to the outside) they are called computer power supplies. They are on the price list under "COMPUTER/SERVER PARTS." Price varies if you cut off the wire...
Are these for working LCDs, or can I send in dead ones?Quote:
$4.00 [per UNIT] Whole DESKTOP LCD, Complete With Base - No screen bleeding, gouges, Cracks, Cut cables
Do you take the ones that came from the factory with detachable cords, or do I need to throw in some non-attached VGA and power cords?
Thanks!
I would make sure you get a quote from then on shipping price. If you are only sending in the power supply boxes, I doubt you will even cover the shipping cost. .27 a pound and 40 pounds is $10.80. I think it will cost more than that to ship 40 pounds. Good luck!
I too am confused about the grading of the LCD monitors......Have sent a few to test the waters and got a different price each time...........I have a 22 inch in a box to be dropped off monday we shall see how it is graded.........No worries here if I am sending it it is scrap to me!!!!........Thanks for everything Ewasted and more material is on the WAY!!!!!
They're scrap to me, too! I just want to make sure that my shipping is covered. I'm going with a pallet this time, so the costs shouldn't be too bad.
@Mikeinreco- Were you paid for all of the dead LCDs? If so, that's good enough for me!
Thanks!
