They most definitely ARE!

That's good to know, as I have lots of those caps. But I'm still at a loss as to how to identify the right ones. I thought for sure the light blue with the "+" signs and a magnetic end were Ta.
Is there a master list of product codes or something so that we can reference part numbers without having to d-pop boards? If I had known just by reference, that would have sped things up quite a bit. I can often read the caps more easily than I can get them off the boards.
Thanks!
Unfortunately their is no master code for all of the Tantalum Capacitors - If you have questions on identifying Tantalum Capacitors - Please send us pictures to info@tantalumrecycling.com
In your price list you have Hermetic A & B, C & D. Is each of those four letters assigned to a different case size? If so, C & D are the larger sizes? The last photo example at the end of your price list, the red flat SMD capacitors. Do they go in with the more common yellow and black SMD'S?
WIth Hermetic Capacitors - C&D Are Large Hermetics, B is Medium Size and A is small.
Red Flat SMD Capacitors - Need to be separated out as a separate product - They should not be with the Yellow & Black SMD's. The Red Flat SMD Capacitors are also worth more then the regular Black & Yellow SMD Capacitors

Does it matter if the cap of the big silver tantalum capacitors are slightly crushed(not breached)?
TantalumRecycling:
I just got in a slew of what looks like someone bought out a Radio Shack "Going out of business sale"
While sorting I have found the following and wanted to ask if they are indeed Tantalum:
#1

#2 (I have also included one that was broken into and what is inside for reference) There are no markings on it I would assume because of the "Paint Stripes"

Thank you TantalumRecycling!
Looking as if I may now begin to have enough (coupled with my SMD's) to possibly warrant a shipment to you!
I appreciate the verification!
MAY have found some more. Want to check with TantalumRecycling

So the blue backed picture (The Spragues) are NOT Tantalum?
Thanks!
So if they are "heavy" and not cased in aluminum yes?
Any magnetic properties to the casing?
Ok so I have sorted out the "non-tantalum"
Is it safe to say this: Casings are "Silver" but a "dull silver" almost a "patina" on the tantalum ones?
The Alum ones are "shiny" and lightweight.
The Tantalum- they seem "heavy or beefy" in weight for their size.
Hopefully that makes sense!
*Sledge Say: Trying to decipher Tantalum.. hardest part of e-waste-- hands down*
Ok.. Last one for now:
Are these Tantalum Packs?

Review:
Just sent my very 1st lot to these folks.
They confirmed receipt, took pictures of all of my scrap ON SCALE showing my weights, told me a total of payout!
Only tricky part for me was that once I got those totals I needed to send them an invoice- but was quickly and easily figured out. Fast Response to my questions regarding what I needed to do for them!
Check arrived quickly!
Glad to do business with them and look forward to the next time!

Are these ones (forget their name) with the baby blue and the ones with pink writing on the capacitors tantalums just like the other with the black lettering or are they completely different?https://www.instagram.com/p/Ba1YkkzFsqo/
Also are any of these in any of the pics them? I just want to see if ones I suspected are right and see the ones I missed. I truly appreciate it

Can anyone look at these and let me know if these are worth scraping off the boards? I’ve just begun studying what I should be looking for. Much appreciated!
I have absolutely no Idea how to sort capacitors so I've been plucking them off of boards and placing them all in an empty gallon water jug all mixed together. is there a price for mixed capacitors? or should I just leave them on the boards for now?
After years of studying this I hope I finally figured it out
Pulled these from some antique equipment

If these are not all tantalum then everything I thought I knew was wrong.......LOL
After a bit more research I'm not sure.........Hoping someone would chime in who understands these things
It's a little bit confusing, because the pic you have on your own website, shows the pic of the little black boxes to be recognized by people with interests in collecting and selling Tantalum to you, but the black boxes in the pic have no + sign on them, lol?
My understanding which I could be wrong the solid white line is the + end of it
