Just out of curiosity, why do Al/Cu heatsinks pay less than extruded? I have some that are big extruded heatsinks with a plug (usually about .25 lb) of bright Cu in the bottom, or a Cu plate. Seems like those would be more valuable, not less.
Take a sawzall and cut them in half, copper plug falls out. Now you got extruded. Or get a press and press them out. It is quite easy and worth the time. I just turned and burned over a 100 lbs of copper doing it. Went for #1 price.
