I want to get rid of a lot of E-Scrap and need to know what price to ask for it?

I have saved a ton of E-Scrap over the years and want it out of my garage. I want to post it to Craigslist and just have someone take it all, since I don't have time to fool with it. I'd like to get a fair price for it. I can post pictures if I can figure out how.

Most of this is close estimates:

I have 40 PC power supplies
65 network cards/computer cards
10lbs small electric motors from computer drives, etc.
20lbs of circuit boards from hard drives and boards from routers and switches
40 alluminum heat sinks
30-40lbs of cables/wires, power cables, etc
80lbs of steel cases from routers/switches/tape drives/etc
20 misc old circuit boards from dummy terminals/battery backups
40lbs of motherboards
10lbs of power adapters.
50+lbs of alluminum hard drive cases

Anyone have any ideas without seeing it?

I can't post pictures yet, as I'm new.

Urbanrecycling has some contacts in florida

I would throw all the green boards into a box and take a picture to send to E-wasted. Shipping could be taken out of the amount shipped if he buys it.

Looks like my local scrap yard will take most of this, so I may just sort it some and take it there over a few days.

Worth checking the prices. There is one yard local to me that buys ewaste but I get as much as 15x their price from buyers on this forum. As example, if I sold the last group of gold ram locally I would have got around $17 for $16+ pounds. Instead I shipped it to a forum buyer in Wisconsin and got somewhere around $250 instead.

do what he says.

if your aim is to earn the highest possible amount for what you have with the least amount of work, thats the way to go about it.

PS- i dont know if the ewaste buyers here take power supplies, hard drive cases and heatsinks
but im sure they will clarify what they take when u contact them.

I agree. You can maximize your profit by dealing with buyers here on the forum.
If you are committed to selling local on Craigslist. I would post up pics and price the lot at $250 based on what you posted. That leaves a little profit for the buyer and gives you a good chunk of change for your efforts.

Time is money.

It might be a couple of days work to run everything to the scrapyard and then to prep the rest for shipping to a buyer on the forum. There's wear & tear on the vehicle plus gas.

A CL ad plus dealing with the customer while he does all the work of cleaning out the garage might only be a couple of hours.

If you could manage to get a couple of hundred for the lot .... that figures out to making a hundred dollars an hour. ;)

thats if he can get someone prepared to pay that much
generally the only ones who pay like that are the guys who refine themselves

most others are looking for bargains which they can sell for a profit.
