Time is money.

It might be a couple of days work to run everything to the scrapyard and then to prep the rest for shipping to a buyer on the forum. There's wear & tear on the vehicle plus gas.

A CL ad plus dealing with the customer while he does all the work of cleaning out the garage might only be a couple of hours.

If you could manage to get a couple of hundred for the lot .... that figures out to making a hundred dollars an hour.
