hello from Maine with questions
I am a 1 year newbie at basic metal drop off at yard and leave and 1 month newbie at hey I can tear down of actual stuff myself and get more...lol . I hear there are some maine scrappers in here. I have had a environmental business for while, I have started scraping more proactively, instead of reactive when customer had some metal I removed as secondary benefit to the main reason I was in their house for another reason. So now I am looking for best thread to get me started. I love pics of what items are best to most often free in Maine and what items are gold, silver, alum, copper etc. I look forward to learning from you all. I just had my first test at getting 2 metal yards to bid against the other. Bigger cleaner one won. The shady old school one didn't care enough to even attempt to bid. Thoughts? Feedback.
I bought my first set of specialized small tools for computers, tvs etc. I am not to up on what is worth listing on ebay and what is actually selling on ebay. I got more involved thanks to Mike the scrapper in NJ on youtube. He is the first person I found who weighted it out for me, and put a price list, even if its not exact, its ball park, that helps a lot.
I am trying to get networks of people who come across metal/ewaste who don't care or have time to recycle. Where is a good place to start for a shy guy who hates rejection:(
also, any good folks in central maine who take out freon for free?
Thanks

hello from Maine with questions
well good day Jeremy from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The biggest and best advice I can give you is to start reading the old treads and look in the buyers section a lot. There is a wealth of knowledge here and just when you think you read enough, read some more. Again, read read read. Any questions you have will be answered. Welcome once again to the forum.
