Question hello from Maine with questions

I am a 1 year newbie at basic metal drop off at yard and leave and 1 month newbie at hey I can tear down of actual stuff myself and get more...lol . I hear there are some maine scrappers in here. I have had a environmental business for while, I have started scraping more proactively, instead of reactive when customer had some metal I removed as secondary benefit to the main reason I was in their house for another reason. So now I am looking for best thread to get me started. I love pics of what items are best to most often free in Maine and what items are gold, silver, alum, copper etc. I look forward to learning from you all. I just had my first test at getting 2 metal yards to bid against the other. Bigger cleaner one won. The shady old school one didn't care enough to even attempt to bid. Thoughts? Feedback.
I bought my first set of specialized small tools for computers, tvs etc. I am not to up on what is worth listing on ebay and what is actually selling on ebay. I got more involved thanks to Mike the scrapper in NJ on youtube. He is the first person I found who weighted it out for me, and put a price list, even if its not exact, its ball park, that helps a lot.
I am trying to get networks of people who come across metal/ewaste who don't care or have time to recycle. Where is a good place to start for a shy guy who hates rejection
also, any good folks in central maine who take out freon for free?
    Thanks

    hello from Maine with questions

well good day Jeremy from the northwest suburbs of Chicago. The biggest and best advice I can give you is to start reading the old treads and look in the buyers section a lot. There is a wealth of knowledge here and just when you think you read enough, read some more. Again, read read read. Any questions you have will be answered. Welcome once again to the forum.

People may laugh at me, but that's ok. I laugh all the way to the bank.

I post a couple ads in CL for computers. I don't do much metal any more - all former contacts and word of mouth.

Sirscrapalot - Moose do not like hugs. They look like they do, but they don't.

I like watching moose going up our driveway - from over there. They may look slow and stupid; but get one PO'd and watch out.

Agreed Mick. I like watching them to..from a distance. Once while traveling in NH to visit my great grandmother we had one charge the van, just because it could. Silly critters, an ornery to!

Yea, my buddy that got me started hauling RV's was coming back from out west and came up on a big moose standing in the middle of a state road. Well, he was in kind of a hurry so he honked his air horn at him, and the moose got mad and commenced to start butting the Chevy Duallie. A state trooper came by and rescued Pete from his truck while the moose continued to beat up that pretty red truck (once was). He was finally able to drive it home but his insurance almost totaled the truck for all the extensive damage.

Moral of the story,,, Don't pi$$ off a moose!

Apparently, those Granite State mooses have a thing for cars...

Not for the faint of heart: Moose gets down with F150
