I'm considering buying a lot of laptop hard drives. Do these carry the same value as a desktop hard drive (ie. buyers pay the same rate). I really have no way to test them and I'm pretty sure most are bad. I would be buying them strictly as scrap. If I'm around .15 cents a pound would I be good or should I stay away.
I knowthis won't answer your question, but in working condition, a laptop hard drive of the same value as a desktop hard drive can fetch better money.Quote:

With ewasted pre-paid label you can probably get shipping under .50 cents a lb.......He pays a little more than $1/lb for complete hard drives so you would be making roughly .35/lb........That is $35 every 100 lbs...........This is how I try to think about this stuff
Actually, I think shipping would probably be a lot cheaper for him. He is pretty close to E.
Yeah from tennessee I think 65lbs runs around .41/lb........I figure in tape, boxes, and supplies so I calculate around .50/lb...........Anyway at .15/lb easy money
