Today haul.

Cold calling is starting to work for me Snagged 80 desktops, about 12 printers, 3 LCDs, and some other junk for $150.

The big surprise was there are 3 DEC workstations in the lot. You can see one in the middle above the crazy blue tower.
I about S**t when I tore the 1st one down and saw the golden mother-load DEC Alpha processor (21164-KC, 533 MHz) It looks like this P8

I'm going to set on the one MoBo and two other workstation until I figure out what they might be worth.

That is incredible! good work! Like you I need to weld some metal walls on my trailer. I have been putting that off for too long.

If a welder is an issue just bolt an angle framework on there and then bolt some 1/2" plywood to it

I used some door hinges on a tailgate and it folds open or by knocking the pins loose it comes right off, I don't drive the pins in tight, just to where they start to set, leaving for easier removal. For the top where it closes I just use a bolt on each side with a locknut on it

Metal walls are a huge pit fall. Yes it makes loading easy but it will make unload not as easy when you doing things by pallet. A forklift cant load someone or unload something from the side of your trailer. Go and get 2inch 27foot long straps and stack things right and strap them down tight! You can also get the 250gallon tanks cut the tops of them off and put them on the trailer and load them with that ever u want. Go to the yard with them empty and they will put a tare weight on them. Forklift picks it up scales it dumps it and slaps it back into your truck and you are on your way...less time at the scale = more money.

you could easily make it removable too, in case you ever did move to forklifted pallets. 4 to 6 good bolts would hold a 4' wall on it, and a tree with a decent limb could be used to lift it right off

Bear: thanks for the tip. I guess what I got now is an 8'X4' trailer with 12" walls. I have some temp walls on right now that extend up from the 12" metal wall but, I would like to up grade. I might use your tailgate idea though

easyrecycle: You are absolutely right, planning with pallets and forklifts is definitely the way to go but, I think in my situation with already having the 12" wall I will extend up from that. I do stack stuff quite high especially on trash haul aways.
