I know you can still add that requirement if you already have an item listed.
Go to your active selling item list.
Go to "more actions" on the right.
    Revise.
Scroll down to "Select how you'll be paid" (I know laughable isn't it?)
    Click "add or remove options"
This will bring up a pop up page and you'll see where you can check a box to require immediate payment when using Buy it Now.

If you're beginning an item, it's still there under the PayPal section of Select how you'll be paid. You just have to check the box now.

Yeah, they are going so buyer friendly that it's going to get bad with tire kickers buying items and deciding not to like them.

It took me a while to figure out how to get rid of international selling. I finally had to just list with my mobile app, then go in on my computer and revise to remove the international options. I don't sell internationally mainly because our local post office doesn't do the paperwork often and it's such a pain to go through.

I have found international shipping to be very simple if you buy your postage through ebay. When you buy the postage the forms pop up online and you mainly have to just verify that he entries are correct and then the forms will automatically print instead of the regular postage label. Of course, now ebay has the international shipping setup for those that do not want to hassle with it. You just ship it to a location they have in the Midwest and they take it from there. Your obligation ends once it is received at their transfer point.

WHAT Paper work? >> What pain??

I print my labels online and International is as easy as Domestic
If shipping First Class, Priority Flat Rate Envelope or Small Priority Flat Rate >> All max 4 pounds and treated as First Class
You can use the normal 1/2 sheet self stick label and the customs form is part of the label

If using Priority by weight or the Medium or Large Flat Rate Box's
You use regular paper to print the label >> Uses 2 full sheets >> You get 2 >> 1/2 sheet labels on each sheet for a total of 4 labels
3 go into the clear pouch and you keep the one labeled "Customer copy"
You can get the clear pouch for FREE from your local PO OR order them online for FREE >> https://store.usps.com/store/browse/...y-mail-express

Once you have the package labeled and ready to go >> Just put where ever you put your Domestic packages
No other special handling needed on your part

I like International sales as it generates additional profit
All my Domestic sales have FREE shipping >> Shipping cost for zone 8 built into the cost
The International Buyers pay full counter shipping cost s PLUS One Dollar
So what I had built in for the Domestic shipping is pure PROFIT

I ship direct to the Buyer and do NOT use the eBay GSP program

...what about the required customs and import/export forms? many countries charge import charges on most goods, how do you handle those?

The customs form prints as part of the label
It will use the eBay name as the name of the product
Best to dumb down the names >> Instead of 12K gold diamond studded men watch >> I make Men Watch

Buyer pays any import fees their Country may charge
