I'm embarrassed to say this because it's so petty. If I go to get some gas for my truck and I can't pay at the pump, I will drive across the street to the other gas station instead of going inside and paying.
Spoiled and lazy, I know.

Mike ... if you're ever vacationing in Maine ... the welcome mat is out.
We're a full serve station and make every effort to do a good job for our customers.
Torrential downpours, bitter winter cold, blazing summer heat ... you never have to get out of your car.
Cash, credit cards, debit cards, personal checks, store charges, and up to 50.00 $ in rolled up coin ... not a problem.
We bang em' through the station just as quickly as we possibly can so that they can get on with their busy day.
Only got two dollars and twenty three cents in pennies for gas so that you can get to work ... No problem ... you get treated with the same dignity and respect as the guy that rolls up in his brand new Land Rover and buys fifty dollars worth with his platinum credit card that has a twenty thousand dollar limit.
Need a cash receipt for taxes ? Not a problem ... coming right up !
True enough ... we are a little more per gallon but we're the only game in town. All of the other gas stations in town closed their doors ages ago.
========================
Things that piss me off .... bonehead company managers.
That @#$^%%& bean counter up in the office pulled our "Port A Potty" the other day because it costs more to rent it in the wintertime. Ummm ... hello .... we are out here 10 - 12 hours a day with no scheduled work breaks. Where do you propose that we go to the bathroom ?
They caught a bit of wrath on that one. I was sorely tempted to go pee on his tires.
You know what they say about big wheels and little dogs.![]()

Me, I'd pee on his seat and tell him I did it and why.
If I get to Maine I'll gladly get a fill up and face to face meet. 73, Mike

I've been mulling it over. It bugs me that the guy with a college degree up in the office doesn't seem to know how to run a business ... most definitely not a gas business. He's kind of a loser. Goin' on 40 and still living in his parent's basement. One of those educated idiot types with a sense of entitlement.
I'm gonna bide my time. He will get his comeuppance.
See ... i showed him how to get things back on the right track ... but ... i didn't tell him everything he needs to know.
If he insists on being one-way with his people and not taking care of their most basic needs ... he will lose their support for his leadership position.
It all comes out in the wash. He won't be able to keep his job if he doesn't deserve it.
