I'm not the snitchy type, but I will warn you if you're being a dumbass especially if you're telling people how to do things wrong or potentially hazardous. I've actually spoken with the EPA (hence the MPCA registration) about people like "redneck" who is too cheap to buy proper regulated equipment and shows people how to thumbtack and superglue their way to an early grave. The EPA official response, "Aint much you can do about it." Wait. There is a huge deal about it, laws made, regulations passed, people obviously forgetting the legal aspect and just half assing it and I'm told that?! I digress.
I advertise my business name, logo, services, on the back of receipts, jobs boards, local geographical SEO, business networking groups, name and number on the truck, a full blown website, professional cards, now I'm looking at annoying online track back adverts, local targeted ads, advertising in industry specific business networks and expanding my existing markets. I put a bit of care and consideration to allow my business to grow organically and find out which markets work for which commodities. Its disheartening that people can't even get the business name right or when they google it they use odd search terms ie. "Get rid of my fridge guy" instead of terms like "Junk Appliances Scrap". I spent a bit of time and resources reinvesting in my business and making more connections. I've researched different commodity markets, sold junk a variety of ways, and went with what worked.
