You posted in off topic. I think you're fine. A lot of scrappers use a GPS, myself included...well used to until the cord broke. Looking to either replace the cord or get a new GPS with better features.

I see this as one more interference from the gov that has zero business in our personal affairs.

I am curious, how did your friend find out their unit had been replaced?



The new unit would have to have the same history as the one replacing it. Seems like that would be hard to replicate.


While on the subject of GPS, one tip I have heard of is to never program "home" as being your home address. Say you're at the mall, thief takes it and hits home, he goes straight there, knowing you're still at the mall.

Granted others could be home but you get the idea.

Suppose if you still wanted to program home, put in a nearby stores address.
