Deal of the century. crane truck for $4000.00

Working both ends of my trap line, the two cars loaded going to the yard later today. I have 14 cars on the other end to haul in over the weekend.

This is crane number four for me, the first Palfinger had I known such a great crane existed would have bought one first time around. Took a bit of getting used to the controls my other cranes had them vertically these are horizontal. Also the Palfinger is so easy to stow away after using it make all the other cranes I've owned pitifully sad.

I'm thinking that the trailer planed for a build will haul another four cars behind the truck.

14 cars? I don't think the junk yards who pay several hundred can get that many in a 6 month period lol.

I took two cars from my end, the 14 turned out to be 8 and an old swather which I will pick up on another trip. Slept in the truck last night and froze my arse off got wet in the rain this afternoon and decided it was time to it the road for home.

One good thing is that these scrappers were all older stuff with some weight to them, the crane works good but has a problem, The hydraulic oil tank is made from fiber glass and it has a large crack or rather hole in it. I'll fabricate another out of 10 gauge sheet metal and weld the seams, the straps that hold the fuel tanks are rotted.

When I go to the Colony to get my sheet metal for the new hydraulic oil tank, I'll get them to shear me some stainless steel to make new straps for the fuel tanks.

Because of these small problems the truck has not been safetied yet. Engine runs good and is sound, plenty of power and reasonably economical on fuel - used $170.00.
