    Gold

The lead button, incomplete cupelation, the purple leaving the gold is copper oxide and the blues are cobalt oxide.

Six buckets of ball milled quartz ready for gold extraction.

I worked in the Homestake Gold Mine back in the mid 70s, when it was still there, I believe around 6000 working underground. Hell of a deal for a 21 year old who loved adventure.
I recently saw some photos of the town of Lead, about the only thing remained was the two huge ribs which held their barrels (about 60 ft diameter).
I once had some of the steel balls that were used in those barrels, even after they'd been worn out were still like small cannonballs
