40 years I've checked the date on every coin in my possession. Current count on silver coinage from pocket change is 4 quarters, 13 dimes, and 11 war nickels. They're pretty rare... I can't even remember the last time I got a war nickle. I got a dime a couple of years ago. Last quarter was 1990-something at a casino. Slot machine was paying out... The last silver quarter I got in change was maybe 5 years ago. I worked Dominos and a guy came in an paid for an order. I heard the coin when it hit my hand.

The most memorable score was when I was working Pizza Hut and they got a bunch of silver and indian head. There were more in the drawer, but the manager was a B and wouldn't sell the nickels to me... She just gave them out as change. I managed to pick about a dozen or so. That would have been 1990ish....
