    From the serial number the engine was made in January of 1953 the connecting rod uses replaceable inserts and the crankshaft uses Timken taper bearings on each side also has an oil pump.



    Engine is not old enough to have used platinum contact points in the magneto.

    I've decided to find a home for the Shop Smith wood lathe, will gift it to the first person who has room for it,
