I will take 20 degrees and cold beer in the mountains at Christmas over your Rum on the beach and 70 degrees. Now in March, I would have to agree with you. By then the cold and snow has over stayed their welcome.

Give back more to this world than we take.

As a wrestling coach and educator for 30 years, I did not know the sun existed between November and February. Now that I am retired, work does not start until the sun comes up and it ends when the Christmas lights come on (timer). They are such a welcome site to a cold body that relishes the beauty of lights and more importantly a hot shower and a cold beer.

It's hard to explain but i sort of live by the seasons. Kinda old skool. ( Lol ....like really really old skool. ) The high point of the holiday season for me is when the days start to get longer. It's a simple celebration where we enjoy a meal together. Some folks like to make a big production out of it with the Yule rituals and legends of olde but it all seems a bit much to me. Different strokes for different folks i guess.
Each celebrates " The Dawning of the Light " in their own way.![]()
