From seed it takes about 2 yrs just to sprout if I remember right.

Had a patch years ago my dad planted, used to hunt with him when I was in my teens, patch was about 4 yrs old and just getting nice little red berries when the neighbor tore it up with his lawn tractor. He was happy to do us a "favor" and cut the grass on the hillside.

I should plant some again.

Ever try selling morels or sheephead (manitake) copycat?

Used to be restaurants that bought them, not sure if they still do now. Now those I don't have as much of a problem finding.
