    We don't have that law here in the states, but most build backyard foundry's and smelt em themselves. A few years ago a California based organization started stamping a couple of dollar bills and started a "Where's George" campaign. Our government backed up the program even though it's illegal to deface a bill. Coins don't seem to matter that much.

    Then there's alot of people on youtube that's going to jail.

    I wouldn't set my personal president on anything I see on YouTube . There is a lot of misinformation and people doing unethical / irresponsible things on you tube . I'm confused that you say there is no law , then post a link that says in the first 3 words . ( if laws change ) . Hoarding is fine but I wouldn't be smelting those coins just yet .

    If it was legal you would not have to melt them . I'm talking U.S. currency of course .

    This is true but many are smelting them down to ingots and bars to take advantage of scrap pricing. I personally am going to start hoarding them and when I have enough smelt them down to bars for scrap.
