    Maybe some sort of safety relay that shuts down could be faulty.

    This is one thing I would certainly check if you have good fuel pressure. All you have to do is unscrew the O2 sensor before the cat and pull it out (you don't need to disconnect, just let it hang). I've had this problem on 2 different vehicles. You won't always get a check engine light, my chevy didn't throw a code.

    The second thing I would check is for a vacuum leak.

    The third thing is injector clogged.

    I would bet this is likely one of your problems.
