I got my idea from watching Gold Rush on the Discovery Channel. I was getting very tired of being broke all the time and started wondering if there was something I could do about it. Mining for gold seemed a bit out of the question, but then my thoughts turned to looking for copper. The next day I was googling "scrap copper," and the rest is history.
