    I want to say I've herd about the tampon thing before from friends in the military an trauma side medical fields.


    Either way good advice, an does make sense.

    Sirscrapalot - Now all you fella's who have to go pick those up for you lady, can play it off like your stocking up the first aid kit.

    Oh yeah. I almost never leave home without my first aid kit. I carry around a large Vietnam era Alice Pack. The pockets are full of a few basic medical supplies. A couple bottles of alcohol and peroxide, about 50 6x6 gauze pads, a roll of gauze, a few rolls of medical tape, standard bandages, and a lot of other crap because it doubles as a survival kit in case i do anything stupid... I also carry a small serrated edge knife that has a glass breaker and seatbelt cutter on it. Soon ill be adding a Taurus Model 65 .357 to the mix but thats a completely different topic...
