    Hey taterjuice, I know you want an answer from Mick, but since you made me pause and google it, I might as well tell you what I found:

    "snipe [verb]: to attack a person or a person's work with petulant or snide criticism, especially anonymously or from a safe distance."

    (Sort of like the other definition of "snipe" -- "to shoot at individuals as opportunity offers from a concealed or distant position")
