You've been in the military..... use that thick skin. Brush it off and let it go. Albert Einstein was made fun of his whole life! He was told he was stupid as a child and as an adult laughed at when he introduced his cosmological constant theory(which ironically is the same formula scientists use today to explain the very fast expansion of the universe). Look at all the great things he did! So, if you cant use all the negativity as fuel for success, then just punch them in the face.
