yep, the Taliban has been doing that all along, they don't recognize anything.
I dated a Vietnam vet for awhile - he had been a medic. He told me that after awhile he realized that the enemy wanted to take him really badly because then others would die without him there to help them. Kind of the same sick rationale as killing the first responders on 911, I guess.
