Which is exactly why they keep raiding the medical MJ field out there in Cali. Not only would it cut into big Pharm's profits but it would be proof the war on drugs is a colossal failure. Seems to work for the Canadian cities that allow it, Amsterdam hasn't fallen into a pit of fiery hell and imploded, despite the fact you can visit a coffee shop an have a magic brownie, or visit the red light district. Nor have the other 31 countries where it's decriminalized. But hey..long as we got a means to keep the private prisons filled.
I'll be keeping a close eye on how things go in CO and WA. It'll be rather interesting how the Feds respond to the people's vote. I think they'll stay true to form and ignore our voices and do what they want.
On a personal note I'm a big fan of medical MJ, it gave me a lot of extra time with my grandfather when he was diagnosed with lung cancer. The chemo was just sucking his life away, he went from 185lb man who could golf all day to 115. No desire to eat nothing, finally he asked my aunt if she knew anyone who could get him some, cause he was at wits end with the pills, chemo, etc. She asked about and found some..Made him some brownies, and other edibles, and he amazingly started wanting to eat (who says munchies are bad..!), and had a desire to keep going. He was actually doing quite well, sadly he was taken from us due to a stroke, and a brain aneurism he suffered when he fell while having the stroke. At the end of the day tho, instead of watching him suffer and wither away into a shell of a man, I got to go golf with him several times again, and when he finally did go, he looked closer to the man he was before he started the chemo.
Sorry for the rant there at the end..but yea, I'm for legalizing it, and against stuffing pills and other poisons down peoples throats.
Sirscrapalot - doesn't see all the fuss over such a helpful herb.
