No doubt about it the Walter zip cut blades outperform and out live the generic crap I've been buying, anyhow I'm using the rear bearing hubs, wheels, rims and tires from a Neon to build a small
utility trailer for the John Deere mower we recently purchased.
After removing the spindles from the Neon's subframe had to remove a bunch of excess metal in order to make brackets to affix the spindle to an axle, the box is going o be 5.5' long by 4' wide with a frame made from 2" square tubing. Never have to worry about over loading this trailer and the mower with 26 horse power will not have a problem pulling it.
By removing the brake drum and backing plate this leave me with enough space to mount my bracket inboard, just have to drill a 1 9/16th" hole into some half inch flat plate then four smaller holes threaded to hold the bracket secure.
The extended spindle bracket will allow for a drop axle lowering the total trailer height by four inches.
