Yes, one of the most advantageous times to make financial gain is while young and living at home because of having little to no expenses.
Many her age aren't interested in business or making money. Regardless, it takes ingenuity and ambition to move an idea to fruition.

Impressive she had the courage to go for something in her own way and accomplish it relatively early in life.
