    RAM can go bad or be incompatible even if it "list as compatible". The two things that kill RAM the most is static electricity and heat. I try and sell all my RAM, even untested. Just sold two sticks of Samsung server ram, and 4 sticks of Netlist server ram for little over $50. Beats scrapping it any day.
