    the gauge definitely depends on the craft. my wife wanted custom hangers with all her bridesmaids names in them that she found on (I believe it was) etsy. if I remember right they were 20 bucks a piece. she is very crafty, and I told her to go into my wire room and find that wire, strip it, bend it, and put it in a wood hanger for about a dollar. she went with 14awg solid for her craft, but yet I have had a lady who made these neat little bracelets with some kind of fake gems on them and she used copper from stranded 8awg wire.

    not sure if I did it the way a store would or not but I sold it for 20 cents over my highest barebright price... I'm almost positive ebay and such sites would bring a higher profit margin.
