Oh no. Just think you can get more for color ones. Looks like shipping cost would only be $5.80 for a pound of them in a small flat rate box. So if it is 1267 to a pound at .01 would be $12.67 - shipping $5.85 so $6.82! per pound. Now I am going to go out and start pulling all tabs off!!! And if you can get shipping charged to them even better, but most I've seen had free shipping...

Sorry to bump an old thread on my first post, but I haven't seen it mentioned so far in the crafter's thread or here, but Monster tabs are valuable on their own, not only for their unique design and color variations for crafting, but also because you can redeem them for merchandise on the Monster website (certain colors/types only though, I think, you'd have to check the site). They do shirts and coozies and bags and all sorts of things, and sometimes do limited edition runs to go with certain flavors, etc. So for anybody collecting Monster gear it's a bit like a currency exchange.

It's true. I have a "Monster" sweatshirt I got by redeeming the can tabs + 7.95 shipping/handling. This was a few years ago though, terms may have changed.

Some threads are worth reviving IMO - I was going to mention it before but didn't because I wasn't a member of the site then, but I do buy these over on my buyer thread.

This is something my son like to do. He is 9 and he takes the cans out of the trash at work, pops the top off and crushes the can for our bin. I have let him keep the cash from he cans and the tabs when we have enough. He enjoys it and its bonding time in the garage.
